Swimming Pool!

Ava got her very own swimming pool today! Shaun filled it up with the hose and we waited for it to get warm. We got impatient and boiled a few pots of water to mix in so we could all play. Ava LOVED it! She would climb in and sit for a few minutes, splashing with some toys, then she would climb out and run a lap across the yard and jump back in. This went on for a good 30 minutes; in then out. As soon as I got her changed into warm, dry clothes she crashed out for a second nap. We are loving the start to summer :)

Weekend Wrap-Up

We spent the weekend in Idaho Falls for a short visit and are still recovering from the constant go-go-going we do there! Ava was such a good girl, considering how tired she was after taking such wimpy naps the whole time. She got to order her very own plate at iHop and decided it is totally awesome to dip her finger in the whipped cream on Mom's coffee. She had a great time playing with the cousins and everyone!

Finger-Painting

This evening we got a little messy and Ava painted a thank-you picture for Isaiah and a few paintings to hang in her bedroom. It was a lot of fun and a made a huge mess, but we loved every second. In true Ava style, a little blue paint was even tasted. Awesome, can't wait for that diaper. Not. I think more paint ended up on the highchair tray than on the paper, but that's half the fun of it, right?!

And since I'm so far behind...more photos!!

These are a few current photos that are pretty cute. Prepare yourself for the last one, it's a doosie! I take a lot of highchair photos because its the only time Ava is contained and holds still log enough. :-)

This is at the zoo in Des Moines
And this is destroying Aunt Tara's foral arrangement...sorry Aunt Tara

The Aquarium and Playin in the Sandbox

On Sunday I took Ava to the Idaho Aquarium with a few friends extecting it to hold her attention for a short while. Boy was I wrong!! I practically had to drag her out of the building when it was time to leave. It was great! The aquarium is not very big, but almost every exhibit you can touch; tropical fish, crabs, baby sharks, sting rays, clams, and tropical birds. And Ava did! She was so brave and had a blast splashing in all the pools. She was practically soaked to the bone by the time we left. We will definitely be going back very soon!! She also got a sandbox from the Easter Bunny and absolutely loves playing in it. It's been tricky finding time to use it, since it's been pretty windy and rainy lately. I think we're off to a good start for the coming summer!

Trying new treats

Yesterday we discovered how much Ava likes Push Pops. A lot. A WHOLE lot. She had the best expressions on her face while trying it out.

Easter

The Easter Bunny made a stop at our house to visit a certain little girl. She was spoiled rotten with a new sandbox and a whole basketful of little surprises! After dinner we played in it until it was too hot and then she had a bath...leaving behind a pile of sand on the bathroom floor. She tried Peeps for the first time too and it was comical, to put it mildly. See for yourself...
